JUMO Partners, in one page.

If someone has just recommended us to you, this page is the whole firm — what we do, who we do it for, what it costs, and what to do next. It is deliberately the only page you need to read.

What we areAn independent life-science and consumer-health advisory firm working in both directions between Europe and China. Founded 2012, incorporated in Hong Kong, with an operating company in Shanghai. Four partners. Paris, Valencia, Lausanne, Beijing, Shanghai.
Who we work forCompanies that make health products — pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, diagnostics, laboratory tools, dermocosmetics and food supplements. Not hospitals, not payers, not insurers.
Who we talk toHealthcare professionals and industry professionals, in their professional capacity — clinicians, pharmacists, buyers, distributors, regulators and category managers. We run no patient or consumer research, and we collect no health information about the people we interview.
What is unusualWe run our own primary interviews, in Mandarin, with named respondents. How we are paid is written into the Scope of Work before the work starts, whatever the model. And we stay to run the thing afterwards if that is what the work needs.
Named clientsbioMérieux · Servier · Merck Group · La Roche-Posay · ELITech · Grünenthal · Pharmanovia · Acteon · Epredia · HRA Pharma · Therenva · SafeHeal · MAbSilico · Evolucare · ProvePharm · ISRP — named with permission; a number of engagements remain confidential.
LanguagesEnglish, French and Mandarin as working languages, including two partners who negotiate in Chinese.

The six things you can engage us for

Market studyPrimary interviews with the people who buy, prescribe, distribute and reimburse — run by us, in their language, and yours alone afterwards. Detail
Regulatory & accessWhich regime applies, the realistic calendar, registered against non-registered, and what approval does and does not buy you. Detail
Distributor searchIdentification, qualification and negotiation — with a shortlist we are not paid to produce. Detail
On the ground with youPart-time operational management, or senior expertise by the day. A named partner accountable for a result. Detail
OrganisationTeam, governance and operating model — the part of an entry that has no deadline and decides year three. Detail
Discovery programmeA designed programme of encounters so a leadership team meets a market before committing to it. Detail

Each runs in both directions of the corridor. Sector depth in rare disease, dental, consumer health, and health & sport.

What you can hold us to

You always know who pays us

Some engagements are fee-only; business development can carry success-linked compensation. Whichever applies, the structure is agreed with you in writing before the work starts and it is in the Scope of Work.

Priced before you commit

A detailed, line-by-line quote — named people, day rates, day counts — so you can remove anything you do not want and benchmark what is left.

A partner replies, not a salesperson

The partner who scopes the work is the partner who does it. Expect an answer within two working days.

All three appear in every Scope of Work. If we are not the right firm for the question, we say so — and, where we can, say who is.

What this costs

Scoped engagements run from about €15,000 to €60,000, depending on scope. Ongoing mandates are monthly, from about €3,500. Every service page carries its own range.

Why we publish it

Because you need to know which internal approval route to open before you spend half an hour finding out. A range is not a quote, and nobody has ever been offended by a range. Yours is quoted line by line — named people, day counts — so you can remove anything you do not want.

What to do next

Thirty minutes, with a partner.

Tell us the market, the product and the decision in front of you. If we are not the right firm for it, we will say so and, where we can, say who is. If your procurement team needs to see us first, the pack answers their questionnaire in advance.
