Programme · both directions
Before you enter a market, meet it.
A board decides on a market it has read about. A board that has spent four days inside it decides differently, and faster. We design and run programmes of encounter — in China for European teams, in Europe for Chinese teams — with the people who would actually matter to the decision.
Engage us for this if
- Your executive committee must see a market before it will commit budget
- You are a Chinese group evaluating European acquisition or partnership
- You want access to hospitals, regulators and founders, not to a trade fair
- A decision is stuck because the people making it have no direct experience
This is not the right engagement if
- You want a delegation service or travel logistics
- You want a conference agenda
- You have already decided and need the trip to justify it
What you get
What the mandate covers.
- A programme designed around your decision, not around a standing itinerary
- Three families of encounter: institutional, industrial and clinical
- Meetings with people who have decision authority, arranged under our name
- Interpretation and cultural briefing, so the room works
- A written read-out afterwards, so the trip becomes a decision rather than a memory
For Chinese leadership teams
Paris, Barcelona, Lausanne, Milan — national investment and health agencies, sector federations, a curated session with selected biotech and medtech companies, industrial sites, health innovation hubs and local investors.
Run in Mandarin and the local languageFor European leadership teams
Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen — hospitals and rehabilitation centres, distributors and purchasing groups, regulatory and industry associations, the platform economy, and the manufacturing base behind it.
Run in French, English and MandarinWhat it is not
Not a business trip. Not a delegation service.
What we provide is qualified access to an ecosystem, a strategic reading of that ecosystem, and the management of rhythm and standing that a senior delegation requires. An events agency cannot do the first two. A consulting firm does not offer the third.
Three families of encounter
Where policy sits
National investment and health agencies, sector federations, bilateral institutional actors. The macro narrative, and the legitimacy that comes with it.
Where the future sits
A curated session with four to six selected companies that have genuine ambition in the other direction. Short presentations, real discussion — not a demo day.
Where the work sits
Manufacturing and R&D site visits, hospitals or health hubs, and meetings with local investors. What production, quality and care actually look like on the ground.
How it is run
- Senior accompaniment throughout, in Mandarin, French and English
- Every meeting positioned as preliminary and non-transactional — we protect our network, which is why it stays open
- A standard programme, with clearly separated optional premium moments
- Budget framed in advance. There are no free introductions, and we say so from the first conversation
- Attention to pace, rest and the informal moments where the real conversations happen
A recent programme
Six days across France and Spain for the senior leadership of a Shanghai public investment group: institutional meetings in Paris, a curated innovation session, industrial and health-hub visits in Barcelona, and a closing moment chosen for what a delegation remembers rather than what it files.
Programmes are built to the delegation. This one is indicative, not a template.
What this costs
€20,000 – €40,000 per delegation, excluding travel and accommodation.
Why we publish it
Because you need to know which internal approval route to open before you spend half an hour finding out. A range is not a quote, and nobody has ever been offended by a range. Yours is quoted line by line — named people, day counts — so you can remove anything you do not want.
What you can hold us to
You always know who pays us
Some engagements are fee-only; business development can carry success-linked compensation. Whichever applies, the structure is agreed with you in writing before the work starts and it is in the Scope of Work.
Priced before you commit
A detailed, line-by-line quote — named people, day rates, day counts — so you can remove anything you do not want and benchmark what is left.
A partner replies, not a salesperson
The partner who scopes the work is the partner who does it. Expect an answer within two working days.
All three appear in every Scope of Work. If we are not the right firm for the question, we say so — and, where we can, say who is.
Who leads this
Eric Bouteiller
Executive Partner · Co-founder
A pharmaceutical executive in China and Asia, with three decades of industry-association and academic work across the region — and one of the few French executives who reads, writes and negotiates in Chinese.
The next step
Design a programme.
Tell us the market, the product and the decision in front of you. A partner replies within two working days with either a scoped, line-by-line quote — or the reason we are not the right firm for it.
