Eric Bouteiller
A pharmaceutical executive in China and Asia, with three decades of industry-association and academic work across the region — and one of the few French executives who reads, writes and negotiates in Chinese.
Eric has close to twenty years in the pharmaceutical industry in China and Asia, on the operating side rather than the advisory one. He was a pioneer of data centres for the pharmaceutical industry in China at a time when the category barely existed there.
His second register is institutional. Three decades of work with industry associations and academic institutions across China and Asia mean that when a client needs a door opened at a society, a regulator or a university hospital, the introduction is usually one call rather than one campaign.
He holds a PhD in organisational sociology, which shows in how he frames engagements: what a market will accept is rarely a question of product, and almost always a question of who has an interest in the answer.
